For people who don’t know what koto is, koto is an instrument, which came from china. There are 13 strings and you make a sound by using a tool called tsume, which means nails.
We had a concert last night (FRIDAY) and we had to leave the school by 3:35 with the band teacher and go to the train station. When we got there, some people wanted to buy things so we went to the convinence store.
When we got to the hall, we were the first one on so we had our rehearsals first. We had to do it about 3 times because everyone was not on the tempo. Then it was peerformance after we changed.
THE BEST PART WAS IN THE CHANGING ROOM!! I played games and veresed with other ppl on an ipod application called taptap. At the last, I went to a restaurant called SIZZLER with Sakurako.

What do you think about using a blog/ website for learning at school?
I think it is really cool and fun because most of the people hates homework but if we are doing it on the computer, I think it makes us do the homework fun and we won’t feel like as if we are forced. I also think that it is good too because it is an online media project so we can connect to other people in other classes freely.
What are the best/worst things about using blogs?
For me, it was kind of disapointing because I couldn’t create my own template for my websites which I usually do to my original websites.
The best part is that there are a lot of things you can do with your blog and other people’s blog such as comment, subscribe (if they have added the RSS or the subscription widget) and add media, hyperlink, etc.
Do you like the idea of using your blog/website for other classes, not just English? What subjects and why?
Yes. I think it would be good if we had it for science because I usually don’t like doing science homeworks. One of the reasons is because I am too lazy to write and the other is that there’s PLENTY to do! Maybe it can be more fun if we done it on the blogs and our teacher would just look if we did our homwork.
What are your favourite websites that you use?
For creating my own websites, I don’t buy a domain hosting adress so I usse other web creating sites such as,

What would you like to be able to do use your blog/ website for? What ideas have you got?
I want to be able to make the edublog a social network where you can add signing up forms, like a member ship like how I can do it with my site.
Do you think it is important to learn how to use things like blogs? Why? Why not?
I don’t think it is much important for people who don’t use computers everyday from 2-3 or more hours because I think this is too hard for those people even though they think they understand. There are a lot of computer technology stuff such as adding widgets, computer codes/languages, and computer keywords and it is not nessesary for a lot of people.

i got my mac but first i was disapointed because i didnt know the password for our LAN Network(SERVER). Only my dad knows. So i got the smaller wifi but i made a mistake and bought the new one:802.11n which was not for my router(A MACHINE TO CONNECT TO INTERNET FOR FREE). So i got some help from my uncle who works with I.T stuff but he wasnt able to fix it so I am not using the wifi right now and just putting the cord from the router to my computer so I can connect to the internet…MY 10000 is wasted!!! well i hope he can fix it when he comes to my house.

The 30 Days
It was finally the summer holidays and Jessie still had 30 days. Jessie and her mother were on a plane going
to a new country where they had never visited before. When they arrived at the airport, they went on the bus
they were planning to ride on. Jessie didn’t like it too much infact, she hated it because she was not used to
the countryside. The bus went to the beach, which was one of scariest and most hated beach ever. When
they arrived, they laid their beach mat on the sand. They started swimming and Jessie swam as far as she
could but her mom thought that she might get lost so her mom decided to stay with her.
It got dark, dark, and dark and then all of a sudden, ugly disgusting creatures came towards them such as
Angel Fishes. Jessie and her mom tried to get away from the creatures and started swimming as fast as
they could. They felt the creatures sticking on to their feet. Jessie was disgust. Then a dolphin came by and
told them to get on its back. They finally got away after splashing a lot.
On the next early morning, they realized that they arrived on a port near a city.
A fisherman started yelping because the dolphin that they were riding on was one of the endangered types
of dolphin. Then a bunch of crowd started forming around them. One of the people in the crowd phones the
police officer and they arrived.
Jessie opened her eyes. She was in the jail. Her mom told her that they were caught because the police
thought they were hurting the dolphin very badly. ‘Mom, where did the dolphin go?’ She asked sadly.
‘The dolphin went to the aquarium.’ ‘We must get out of here as soon as we can. Your precious summer
holiday’s g’na end in twenty-one days.’
The police officer walked by. They stared at him and he stared at them too.
‘You must not hurt the dolphin. According to the book, it says, Law.231 No hurting or harming endangered
animals. So why did you want to hurt it?’
‘WE DID NOT WANT TO HURT IT!’
They told the entire story about what they did but it didn’t help.
Back in the aquarium, scientists came to see the dolphin’s brain because it was screaming for the whole
time. The scientists found out that the dolphin was telling the humans to bring the mother and the daughter
back.
They were brought to luck when the dolphin confirmed that they did not do anything bad to it. The police got
them out of the jail.
‘Jessie! We got out! Now we can go back!’ Her mom was so happy but Jessie wasn’t. She couldn’t get
happy until the dolphin got out of the aquarium.
As they told the aquarium manager to let it free, the dolphin grew older and older. It became old enough that
they couldn’t help anymore so they gave up.
‘Dolphin, sorry we couldn’t release you out of the aquarium. We apologize but we have to leave. We’ll
remember you for ever.’
They went to the airport to ride on the plane. It had T.V. in it so when they woke up, they heard the news
that the dolphin died after they left.
When they got back to their house, they switched on the T.V. and the news showed where the dolphin gets
inside its graveyard. Her mom and Jessie wanted to meet the dolphin and send the spirits back but her
summer holiday was at an end. Her mom suggested if she could write a letter to the aquarium manager if he
could give the letter she wrote to the dolphin on its graveyard, and she did.
‘Hurry! Your going to be late.’ Mom shouted to Jessie and she got the letter she wrote yesterday. She found
a post box on the way to school so she put it in. She was just happy that she could send her feeling s to
the Dolphin, but the problem was that she didn’t finish her homework. Now that was a huge problem.

I just finished reading a Sakura Medal Book called ‘The Lemonade War’. It was a short story with big handwriting but it was really interesting because the author put in a lot of impacts to the characters.
The story was about a boy called Evan who started a lemonade war with her little sister called Jessie because he was jealous of her little sister skipping few grades and now that he was going to be in the same grade as her. He was really bad at math and he never got it right and now that he is going to be in the same grade as his sister, he thought that everyone would make fun of him.
Before starting the lemonade war, they made a rule and the rule was,
Who ever gets more than a hundred dollars win the war but if both of them didn’t get over hundred, then who ever is the closest to a hundred wins. The winner gets the loser’s money too.
Jessie was supposed to win the war but Evan sneaked into her room and got the money she earned by selling lemonade. He puts it into the pocket and then go swimming with his friends but he notices that her money is gone. What will they do?
MY OPINIONS:
I think this book was well described and wrote how the brother and sisters act like, for example, annoys each other and not friendly. It is also good because the author writes the definition for the title in each chapter. I am sure that I can rate this as 4 out of 5.

For this link, i wanted to know how artists draw snoopy so I typed in the google search bar, How To Draw Snoopy. This SITE (Please ignore the pop-ups) shows you step by step how to draw famous characters for example, snoopy and Homer Simpson. It is really easy and good for people who can’t draw really good because the style how they present is like an online drawing class.
Another good one is not a website but a url to an image. It shows you step by step like the other one did. 
Click here to go to another type of site that tells you how to draw simple pictures like the background of a comic strip. It tells you and describes you really well rather than showing a tutorial of it.

I found this comic while searching on altavista. There were few comics I can look at but sometimes I didn’t get it wwhy it was funny so I chose this. In this comic, everytime grandfather asks something to the boy, the drawer zoomes into both of their face and that shows that the grandfather is getting angrier. I think the style of the drawing is different to the Simpsons and Snoopy because it makes people think why the boy is getting into trouble and the way of drawing is different. They have more language than snoopy does.

Comparing Snoopy with the Simpson’s Comic strip, I realised that Snoopy Comic Strips have less words. Instead, they use pictures to entertain the readers. Schultz write a lot of feelings and movements onto the comic. It also describes the personality well like the Simpson’s comic does. These comics are not as funny as the Simpson’s but it makes the reader think what the writer is trying to say, and the character’s feelings. Schultz the writer, also remembers that dogs don’t speak human language so he puts some bubbles so that the reader won’t think that this animal talks. He puts every detail in it.

Simpsons is a really famous comic strip and also a famous animation on Cartoon Network. I used to watch it when I was in 1st grade but not anymore. In the comics I searched on google, I read it and I thought some words are sometimes hard for little kids to understand but in a way, I think that helps them learn new words. Simpsons story has a sense of humour and makes people laugh.
This comic drawer Bill Morison who is also the writer of the story, draws pictures of Homer Simpson really carefully to show and let the readers understand their feelings. He makes them over react and by doing that, he also shows their personality.

The Worry Website is one of the best book written by Jacquelin Wilson. It takes place in the classroom. The teacher makes a website for their class that when ever they need some advices and want to share something that they are worrying about, they can write it on their websiteand wait for the teacher to reply. Frst they didn’t risk for it but now everyone n the cass have started to type their worries on the website. The teacher lets the kids in the classroom use their only computer at reading time.
Now that their teacher has been replying to the kid’s worries, they are now having fun at school.
I thought that making a worry website is good for some people because sometimes there are problems that needs to be discussed with other people and get some suggestions. I think the teacher of the class is really thoughtfull to the kids because if the teacher was just a normal person, he would not even bother to make and answer some worries. I think I will rate this book 5 out of 5.
